Following an unexpected and devastating event in 2018, Ben West has become one of the most engaged mental health campaigners in the UK. He has successfully influenced national government policy to improve education and support for children in schools, advises the NHS on engagement and involvement and the importance of lived experience-informed decision-making, and works with organisations on creating mental health and suicide prevention strategies that address the root causes of issues.
