Genevieve Blakeley is the Work Health Hub Project Co-Ordinator at the University of Derby. Gen graduated from the University of Derby in 2023, where she studied Counselling and Psychotherapy Principles and Practices with Psychology, gaining practical knowledge and skills to facilitate conversations around people’s own mental health and wellbeing and focused on available therapeutic approaches, with a particular emphasis on humanistic school of thought.  

Since graduating, she has gained experience working as a crisis intervention support worker while supporting the Work Health Hub, before transitioning to her current role full time. In her role, she is  able to share, learn and increase people’s understanding of the importance of personal wellbeing and self-compassion so people feel they are able to bring their whole selves to work, to thrive, through the preventative approach to wellbeing in the workplace that The Work Health Hub strives for.
