John was appointed as the Head of London Resilience in October 2018 having previously been a Deputy Head of the team since its conception in April 2016. John has worked in Resilience in London for 15 years both at the borough level within local government and at the regional level in the London Fire Brigade Emergency Planning Team and subsequently the London Resilience Group. Since 2010 John has had an involvement in most of the Major Incidents in London including leading the secretariat to the London Riots in 2011, working as a duty manager in the London Operations Centre during the Olympics and leading the secretariat support to the Major Incidents in 2017, the preparations for a No-deal Brexit and of course COVID 19.
