Lieutenant Colonel John Shirras is a MOD resilience liaison officer, currently working with civil authorities in the North West, to prepare for, and to support, emergency response operations. An infantry officer, with over 30 years’ experience of operations and training, John has worked extensively in international and multi-agency roles, including with NATO and the UN. He also has extensive experience in leadership and personal development, including training infantry officers, delivering adventure sports instructor training for the Armed Forces, and managing recovery pathways for wounded and injured soldiers.
