Overview

Should location determine the quality of our children's education?

In March 2022, the government published its long-term vision for a school system that helps every child fulfil their potential by ensuring that they receive the right support in the right place at the right time.

Through the forthcoming Schools Bill, the government will raise education standards across the country through several measures such as schools joining strong, multi-academy trusts, the introduction of registers for children not in school, and the empowering of Ofsted to crack down on unregistered schools operating illegally.

In partnership with the University of Derby, the Institute of Government & Public Policy is delighted to present The National Schools and Academies Leaders Show and Exhibition. This conference, structured around key legislative changes, will address the challenges of handling the increasing count of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) while tackling mental health concerns among pupils. The event will explore the intricate task of balancing reduced budgets and heightened expectations whilst addressing recruitment and managing staff absenteeism and student attendance concerns.

Join us for The National Schools and Academies Leaders Show and Exhibition, which will bring together senior leaders from academies and multi-academy trusts to network and explore challenges and insight into policies, practices, and procedures impacting trusts and academies. Aligning with the core themes of the upcoming Schools Bill, the event will explore the national ambition to deliver a world-class education to every child, regardless of their geographical location. With the impending General Election, this leading event will give all those present the opportunity to discuss and debate what the impact of the election result will have on this key issue.
