NHS Long Term Plan Conference and Exhibition 2023

Improving care and tackling major conditions

The Kia Oval, London 21 March 2023, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Overview

Four years after launching the NHS Long Term Plan, the NHS is still under tremendous pressure to transform for the best outcome of population health.

The Plan’s goals were to prioritise the best patient outcome in the UK and maximise taxpayers’ investments in the NHS. Yet, the pandemic and now the cost of living crisis have made these goals even more challenging.

In January 2023, the Department of Health and Social Care announced the development of a Major Conditions Strategy, in a fresh attempt to tackle long-term backlogs in major diseases and deliver integrated and whole-person care across the UK.

The NHS Workforce is the backbone of our healthcare system and the heart of improving public health. However, inadequate resources and inefficient workforce planning are increasing the walk-out and strikes, as seen across ambulance services, nurses, doctors, and wider medical professionals.

Join us at the NHS Long Term Plan Conference and Exhibition 2023 to hear from key decision makers on the latest analysis and updates on the NHS Long Term Plan and related plans and policies, including the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan. Also hear from frontline practitioners on the changes needed to drive community healthcare forward.

If you are a leader within an NHS Trust, ICS, an Allied Health professional, or work in a partnership or supply chain organisation, this is a must-attended conversation to learn how the NHS and its workforce will need to change and evolve in the near future.
