Online Event 19 January 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
A number of reforms in the UK have been driven by the need for better management of publicly owned assets and higher standards of accountability. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought these issues to the forefront and presented many challenges. As the UK emerges from the pandemic, the role of assets and estates will be vital to ensure that the public sector is operating in a sustainable manner and generating efficiencies and savings for the public purse. The Mackintosh Report ‘Getting Smarter: A Strategy For Knowledge And Innovation Assets In The Public Sector’ was published in April 2021. It sets out an implementation strategy to get greater value from public sector knowledge assets. The GovS 004: Property Functional Standard was issued in March 2020 by the government to ensure that the asset value of government property is optimised.
This conference will give public sector organisations a forum for information and discussion of how global, national and local issues have necessitated a change in prioritises for those charged with managing assets and estates. Learn how to manage both operational assets and commercial portfolios to deliver better outcomes for communities.
