Online Conference 18 October 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Rose is an independent autistic autism researcher who has worked on recent studies of autistic people’s experiences of menopause, the social care support needs of autistic people surrounding gender, sexuality and intimate relationships, and the transition from work to retirement as experienced by autistic people. Rose discovered she was autistic in 2018, aged 58. Earlier in her career Rose was a mental health social worker and social work academic.
Rose has researched autistic people’s experiences of menopause, intimate relationships, gender identity, and sexual expression, and is particularly interested in how neurodivergence, menopause, and ageing combine to influence identity, self-acceptance, and social connectedness.
