With a decade in the IT sector across the UK and Australia, James transitioned into Civil Engineering to take a more hands-on role in project delivery. With over 17 years of experience on major projects - including 12 years specialising in BIM - he is now focused on bridging the gap between design, construction, and operations. His work centres on advancing digital handover and digital twinning, driving better operational outcomes while supporting sustainability and the net-zero agenda. James holds a Master’s in Smart Buildings and Digital Engineering and was a co-author of the RIBA Smart Buildings Overlay to the Plan of Work.
