This panel will examine whether greater collaboration between councils, combined authorities and regional bodies can help overcome the barriers to housing delivery. Speakers will explore strategic and spatial planning, devolution, cross-boundary housing needs, infrastructure, transport, local government reorganisation and how decisions about where and how homes are built can be coordinated more effectively across wider regions.
This panel will discuss the challenges of bringing forward land for development, including brownfield regeneration, Green Belt considerations, land assembly, viability, infrastructure constraints and partnership working between the public and private sectors.
