President of Electricity Distribution

Roisin is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the UK’s largest electricity distribution network, serving more than eight million customers across the East and West Midlands, Southwest and South Wales. As President, Roisin is accountable for National Grid Electricity Distribution's £9bn investment programme delivering reliability for customer, unlocking growth opportunities and keeping affordable power flowing to homes and businesses across our region.

Previously Roisin was Chief Operating Officer at National Grid Electricity Distribution, prior to this held Director positions in National Grid Electricity Transmission and Electricity System Operator, including running the National Electricity Control Centre.

Roisin was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in the Honorary awards to foreign nationals list announced as part of the Queen’s 2022 Birthday Honours, for services to the Electricity System, Energy Security and Decarbonisation. She has recently been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering

Married with two children, Roisin served as a member of the Advisory Group for Imperial College’s Energy Futures Lab, and the Board of RenewableUK.
