I have worked in education for over 20 years, serving in a variety of schools and communities across the North East, London and Surrey. Over that time I have progressed through a range of leadership roles, including several years as a Deputy Headteacher in Croydon, and I completed my NPQH in July 2021. Throughout my career, my passion has remained the same: to see children and young people thrive and grow in every aspect of their educational journey – academically, socially and emotionally.
Before entering the teaching profession, I spent a number of years involved in sports coaching and youth mentoring. Those early experiences shaped my understanding of the powerful role that trusted adults, strong relationships and positive role models can play in helping young people develop confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging. That foundation has continued to influence my approach to education and leadership, particularly in championing the importance of whole-child development.
Alongside my professional life, I am also a proud parent to two wonderful daughters. Being both an educator and a parent gives me a deep appreciation of the hopes and expectations families place in schools, and it continually reminds me of the importance of creating learning environments where children feel safe, valued and inspired to flourish.
Since joining Jigsaw Education Group in October 2021, I have had the privilege of working closely with schools, trusts and leaders across the country. During this time, I have seen first-hand the powerful impact that thoughtful, well-structured support can have when schools are equipped with the right tools, guidance and partnerships. It has been incredibly encouraging to witness how schools supported by Jigsaw have strengthened their provision, responded to evolving national expectations, and most importantly, helped pupils develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to navigate life with confidence.
I remain deeply committed to supporting schools in creating cultures where both pupils and staff can flourish, and I am passionate about the role that high-quality PSHE, wellbeing and personal development education can play in shaping the lives of young people.
