Leanne Bateson is the Schools Lead at InnovateHer, working with schools and academy trusts to inspire the next generation into technology careers. A former Primary Teacher of 15 years, Leanne held leadership roles spanning curriculum, behaviour, sports, computing and English, alongside phase leadership and teacher mentorship responsibilities.

In 2024, she transitioned from classroom teaching to focus on supporting schools more widely; empowering young girls and non-binary students to see themselves belonging in any space they choose, particularly within the tech industry. At InnovateHer, she works with schools to reduce staff workload while delivering meaningful, measurable impact for students, contributing to the organisation’s mission to reach 100,000 young people and build a more inclusive future workforce.
