Claire Williams has over 20 years’ experience in primary and early years education and is currently Deputy Headteacher at Alexandra Park Primary, Director of Alexandra Park Research School, and Early Years Content Lead for the EEF Research School Network.
Alongside her school leadership role, Claire works with teachers and leaders across the North West to support the use of evidence-informed practice to improve teaching and learning. She has led a wide range of school improvement initiatives and most recently designed and delivered two large Department for Education and Education Endowment Foundation programmes focused on improving communication, language, and outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
Through her work with the Research School Network, Claire regularly provides professional development for schools and is currently expanding the reach of Alexandra Park Research School as the school becomes part of Greater Manchester Education Trust.
A former SENDCo and Maths Specialist Teacher, Claire holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is completing the NPQH. She is passionate about helping teachers and school leaders combine research evidence with professional expertise to deliver the best possible education for every pupil.
