Jay is currently Global Head of Safety and Health at the UK Foreign Office, with responsibility for the safety of 17,000 colleagues and dependants, in over 170 countries. He has 10 years’ experience leading departments in both the public and private sector, in industries ranging from civil nuclear, construction and defence. His work has seen him work on some of the most high profile national and international events of the 21^st century, providing risk and safety leadership worldwide. Jay regularly mentors new entrants to the profession and conducts outreach activities across a range of settings. Jay is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH and Fellow of IIRSM.
