  • The MOD can contribute to response operations for to civil emergencies, and has done extensively over the course of the last few years.
  • As part of the local and national multi-agency structure for emergency response, the MOD has a capabilities which can contribute to contingency operations.
  • There is a process for this support, which can require ministerial authority.
  • The Integrated Review includes a vision for the future of the Defence role in resilience.
