As Director of Programmes, Jo leads teams working with NHS Trusts, local authorities, universities, schools and government agencies. Salix Finance provides Government funding to the public sector to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills. Salix is the delivery vehicle for the £1bn Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) which was launched by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in September 2020. Phase 2 of the PSDS scheme was launched in March, and will dispense grants with a total value of £75m. The PSDS was accompanied by the £20m Low Carbon Skills Fund which enabled the development and delivery of projects, and the production of heat decarbonisation plans.

Jo was formerly Director of Planning and New Communities in South Cambridgeshire where she played a lead role in delivering the new town of Northstowe and other strategic developments. She has also been a Director for a Housing Association and run her own consultancy company.
