Christine is an experienced keynote speaker with over twenty years of experience within the industry as a Chartered Engineer. Christine started her career as a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer working on a refurbishment project at London Paddington Station.

Her early role also saw her designing and overseeing the construction of low energy buildings and a more recent role as Associate Director at Ricardo Energy & Environment. At Ricardo, Chris led numerous projects including the CDP public sector procurement programme in 2009 and 2010 and supported the development of ESOS guidance on behalf of BEIS. She also worked with numerous corporate organisations supporting the development of their sustainability strategies.


In 2019, Christine assumed responsibility for the Catapult’s Modern Energy Partners (MEP) programme as Head of MEP. The innovative government-funded programme is delivered in partnership with BEIS and the Cabinet Office. The programme focuses on evolving and testing a systematic approach for the development of decarbonisation plans, the rapid deployment of submetering, and the implementation of the first steps of decarbonisation. The objective of demonstrating that it is possible for the public sector to meet its 2032 50% direct emissions reduction target (against at 2017 baseline). The has been supported with a cohort of 42 testbed sites from the Ministry of Defence, Health, Ministry of Justice, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and Higher Education Institutions.

In her downtime, Christine enjoys early morning runs and swimming in the river Thames. She is an active and enthusiastic person who enjoys nothing better than a good challenge. She lives in Oxford with her husband, two children, a dog and a chicken.
