Chantal Senya

MHFA England

Diversity & Inclusion Specialist

Chantal Senya is MHFA England’s Diversity and Inclusion Specialist and is responsible for implementing MHFA England’s Race Equity Commitments, as MHFA England commit themselves to improving the mental health of the nation and becoming an anti-racist social enterprise. Her role includes supporting MHFA England’s staff, and Instructor Member Community to embed intersectionality as a core value of Diversity and Inclusion. She is an experienced public speaker, speaking at the Ministry of Housing, Communities, & Local Government, Institute of Government and Public Policy, Clifford Chance, and Champion Health. As a young professional, she is a proven leader as Chair of MHFA England's Race Equity cohort, a co-author of MHFA England’s Race Equity Impact Report and she has experience in working alongside local authorities, written policy, and leadership.

Chantal is a passionate social activist, writer (as seen in GraziaUK magazine), director and host of her own podcast ‘To Be Confirmed’, and an advocate for racial equity and inclusion. With a degree in Politics and International Relations, she has a thorough understanding of the dynamic nature of socio-political power structures, and the importance of intersectionality within these structures. She is aware of the discourse of representation in diversity, and challenges that.

Outside of MHFA England, Chantal Senya is an avid writer, social activist, and podcaster of the series ‘To Be Confirmed’ where she continues to champion her passion for Racial Justice, and advocates for an inclusive society rid of systemic and institutional inequalities.
