Helena is Programme Manager for the Autistic and OK programme, Ambitious about Autism’s mental health and wellbeing programme for autistic pupils in secondary schools. Autistic and OK is an autistic youth-led programme, coproduced with autistic young adults and led by autistic pupils in schools, who use the programme resources to deliver peer-led sessions on wellbeing to younger autistic peers. The programme provides tailored wellbeing support for autistic young people, promotes inclusive school culture and affirms positive autistic identity amongst young people. Helena draws from her experience across SEND and education intervention programming as well as Ambitious about Autism’s youth participation practices.
