The Eighth Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Conference 2025

London 19 November 2025, 9:00am - 4:00pm

CPD accredited by IGPP badge

Overview

How do special educational needs schools across the UK overcome the challenges of being oversubscribed, overcrowded, and underfunded?

According to the school census released in July 2023, over 1.5 million pupils in England have SEN, marking an increase of 87,000 from 2022. This growth continues a trend observed since 2016, highlighting the pressing need for more inclusive and equitable support across economic, ethnic, and gender divides.

In response, the UK Government unveiled the SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan in March 2023. This ambitious roadmap aims to deliver timely, tailored support in the right settings. The plan focuses on enhancing outcomes for children and young people, improving family experiences, alleviating the challenges they face, and ensuring financial sustainability for the SEN system.

The Institute for Government & Public Policy is proud to continue building a reputation for delivering inspirational and empowering education conferences and events. The Eighth Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Conference 2025 will bring together SENDCOs, inclusion leads, Headteachers, CEOs and representatives from Local Authorities, charities and social enterprises to explore the latest policies, guidance, and strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Join us at the Eighth Annual Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Conference 2025 and learn practical methods to meet the SEND Code of Practice standards and maximise funding in delivering SEND provisions. Register now to secure your place at the London show alongside prominent SEND professionals nationwide.
