As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education has suffered huge losses in income. According to a recent report by the Institute of Fiscal Studies, long-run losses could be between £3 billion and £19 billion which could be up to nearly half of the sector’s overall income in one year. The biggest losses are dure to falls in international student enrolment which are estimated to represent a loss in income of £3.8 billion.
University marketing teams have had to adapt their delivery channels and find innovative ways to reach prospective students. They also need to build back trust with students and give clarity to how courses will be delivered in the next academic year.
