Steve has worked in the information security in the telecoms industry for almost 20 years and prior to that various operation roles in a wide range of industries. 

He now leads the team within Ofcom responsible for the Supervisory regulation of telecoms providers, in scope of the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021, which put additional and specific obligations on these providers to address security risks.

This is one of the two regulatory responsibilities that Ofcom have around cyber-security, the other being NIS for Digital Infrastructure and with the Cyber Security Resilience Bill, going through Parliament will also soon include Data Centres.
