Tim’s career began with a unique challenge: making the complexities of space science accessible to the next generation. Working at the National Space Centre, he honed a lifelong passion for science and technical communication, learning early on how to translate the most intimidating concepts into friendly, digestible, and engaging narratives for all audiences. 

Tim supported the UK public sector with more than 10 years of experience at Jisc, developing and managing JANET Network Security Services to protect UK Higher Education.

Today, at Netskope as a Solutions Engineer, and a CISSP and CISM certified security professional, Tim brings that same "translator" mindset to the world of cyber security, ensuring that complex risk strategies are understood by everyone from technical teams to the Board of Directors.

With 10 years of experience advising some of the UK’s largest organisations, Tim has a proven track record of reducing risk for his customers. He bridges the gap between high-level strategic planning and pragmatic service delivery, and balances the precision of a seasoned security leader with the clarity of a science communicator. Tim makes security a shared mission rather than a technical barrier.
