Michael is a senior researcher at the Police Foundation, an independent think tank with a focus on applied research to produce evidence on crime and policing, with a view to the improvement of policing for the benefit of the public. He is the organisational lead for research and policy analysis into serious and organised crime, with experience of research into economic crime, cybercrime and child sexual abuse. This includes empirical research into offenders, offending, victims, and related crime control strategies, including critical analysis of the structures, policies and practices across government, law enforcement and wider public sector.
