Rebecca is Head of Urban Policy in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities. Her portfolio covers high streets and town centres policy as well as commercial real estate and Business Improvement Districts. She has worked jointly with BEIS on delivering the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022 and her team oversee the High Streets Task Force and development of High Street Rental Auctions. Prior to joining DLUHC in 2022, Rebecca worked at the Department for Education, leading Traineeships to support young people into Apprenticeships, introducing 30 hours free childcare and converting underperforming schools into academies with the support of a sponsor.
