Online Conference 22 June 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Suffolk-born Peter owned a successful timber business which he was forced to give up at 50 after his diagnosis of early onset dementia. Passionate about all types of bikes, he owns too many to list including the iconic penny farthing. Peter spends his days cycling, raising awareness or giving presentations on his lived experience of dementia.
Despite his diagnosis, Peter retains his glass half full attitude to life and a burning desire to live each day and each moment. And, delighted as he is by the publication of his book,” Slow Puncture,” his observation that “it’s a book about me which I shall never read” is poignant because by the time Peter has read one sentence and moves on to the next, the first sentence has gone from his mind.
