According to estimates, 1 in 3 people will provide care for someone diagnosed with dementia across their lifetime. In England alone, over 550,000 people will care for someone with dementia in 2023. As the number of individuals diagnosed with dementia continues to increase, with 1 in 14 over 60 currently diagnosed, it is crucial to provide support and care for those living with dementia and their caregivers.

The economic cost of dementia across the UK is £23 billion per year, which is expected to triple by 2040. Dementia treatment and care cost more than the cost of cancer, heart disease and stroke. Yet, there is still a significant need for further funding and resources.
