Hannah is a Transformation Lead in the Ipswich and east Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group. She is an occupational therapist and previously worked within the acute healthcare sector for 16 years.
It is during this time, while being the team lead for the Emergency Therapy Team, that she developed a strong passion for older peoples care and admission avoidance, promoting that people are cared for and remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
Hannah completed her MA degree in Clinical Practice (2010) where she completed research looking at ‘what influences the length of stay for older people in hospital’, she has also co-authored and published a journal article (2014) about ‘The Need for a 7-day Therapy Service on an Emergency Assessment Unit’.
Hannah was a Lecturer of Rehabilitation for healthcare related foundation degrees for a period of 2 years at the University of Suffolk. Her current transformation portfolio consists of Ageing Well and Discharge to Assess.
