The National Advancing Inclusivity in the Workplace Conference 2026

London 8 July 2026, 9:00am - 4:30pm

Overview

What does meaningful inclusivity look like in practice, and how can organisations ensure it is embedded, sustained, and accountable?

As expectations of employers continue to rise, inclusivity is no longer a standalone initiative but a core driver of organisational performance, employee wellbeing, and long-term resilience. In 2026, organisations across sectors are being challenged to move beyond statements of intent and towards tangible, measurable change that is felt at every level of the workforce. Under the Equality Act 2010, employers are required to promote equality and eliminate discrimination, yet translating these obligations into everyday workplace culture remains a complex and evolving task.

While inclusive workplaces are known to improve innovation, retention, and performance, many leaders still fall short of driving systemic change. According to the CIPD, only 3 in 10 employers believe their leadership is truly committed to EDI. Unconscious bias, inequitable career pathways, and performative allyship continue to undermine real progress, while complex issues like intersectionality, advocacy, and data-driven accountability often remain underexplored.

The Institute of Government & Public Policy is proud to present the National Advancing Inclusivity in the Workplace Conference 2026, which will bring together EDI leaders, HR professionals, and workplace inclusion advocates to share insights, strategies, and real-world examples. Through expert-led discussions and real-world case studies, the event will cover inclusive leadership, effective allyship, equitable progression, diverse talent pipelines, and creating measurable cultural change, equipping attendees with the tools to foster inclusive environments where all employees can thrive.

Attendee feedback from the last EDI conference includes the following:

"Excellent and engaging."

"All speakers were great and seemed knowledgeable in their field."

"There was a lot of really great, useful information sharing squeezed into one day."

Join the Institute of Government & Public Policy in London for the Advancing Inclusivity in the Workplace Conference 2026 to engage with fellow EDI leaders, share best practices, and gain practical tools to drive forward a fairer, more inclusive workplace.
