After various roles across Local Government, Ross joined Homes England in a senior role, the Building Safety Team, with a particular focus on buildings with unsafe cladding.  In 2021 he began working in the Office of Government Property as a Programme Manager for Sustainability and most recently (June 2023) was promoted to Programme Director, responsible for cross-Government property sustainability strategy.  Ross is a Full Member of the Institute of Energy Management and Assessment (IEMA) and a Chartered Environmentalist, and is also a School Governor in East Yorkshire with link responsibility and sustainability Advisor on the Trust Board.
