Anna-Lisa is a highly committed, experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate professional with over 30 years experience in Sustainability and Carbon Reporting.
Anna-Lisa is part-time Executive Director at SmartCarbon Ltd, a business she established 10 years ago to support organisations to measure, track and reduce their carbon emissions and develop decarbonisation plans, to address the escalating climate crisis. SmartCarbon supports organisations from a wide range of sectors and sizes, including a significant number of Local Authorities and NHS Trusts.
Anna-Lisa is also a part-time Sustainability manager at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she leads on the target to reach Net Zero by 2040 across the Carbon Footprint Plus (scope 1, 2 and 3), including achieving a Net Zero Carbon Supply Chain.
Anna-Lisa is a Chartered Environmentalist and a fellow Member of IEMA. She has completed Al Gore’s training programme to become a Climate Reality Leader and is an Associate Lecturer at Northumbria University, teaching on the environmental management degree and masters course. Anna-Lisa is the author and lead tutor for a range of IEMA-approved Climate Emergency, Carbon Accounting and Net Zero courses through Northumbria University.
