The Institute of Government and Public Policy is delighted to be hosting this event at 1 Wimpole Street. Steeped in history, the venue was built in 1909 as a larger premise for the Royal Society of Medicine and was officially opened by King George V and Queen Mary in the same year.

In hosting our conferences at 1 Wimpole Street, IGPP is investing in the future of UK healthcare. With all profits reinvested into the Royal Society of Medicine, the largest provider of postgraduate medical education in the UK, stakeholders are directly contributing to the development of medical professionals.

How to get there

By Tube
Oxford Circus Underground station is on the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines, with services every few minutes, and is just a 6 minute walk to the venue. Bond Street Underground station is on the Central and Jubilee lines, with services every few minutes, and is just a 5 minute walk to the venue. Great Portland Street Underground station is on the Hammersmith & City and Circle line, with services every few minutes, and is just a 15 minute walk to the venue.

By Rail
London's mainline station Marylebone is minutes away by Underground. or a 22 minute walk on foot. For further information visit the National Rail website.

By Bicycle
There are several points in Cavendish Square where bicycles can be secured to a barrier. Cycle hire docking stations are located nearby on Chapel Place.

By Road
1 Wimpole Street is easily accessed from the M1 and M40 and is in the central London congestion charge zone. Wimpole Street is a one-way street, approached from Henrietta Place. Pay car parks are located in Cavendish Square, Marylebone Lane, and Chandos Street all within a five minute walk. You can find more information on parking from the Q-Park website
