Senior General Practice Leadership Programme - CMI Level 7

Overview

This GP practice management course is designed for GPs and clinical staff who are already in or aspiring to a leadership role, as well as existing Practice Managers looking to develop their skills in senior leadership. It focuses on senior leadership, change management, and understanding current issues in NHS primary care, including population health management and the impact of PCNs and other changes on primary care.

The course utilizes real-life experience and teaches how to apply theory and best practices in the work environment. It is led by an experienced NHS leader and supported by current NHS insights, contextualized case studies, and first-hand experience of the challenges of being a leader in primary care.

The GP practice manager course builds on the CMI Level 5 course and provides professionals with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of senior level practice management in an enhanced learning environment. Participants will also become part of a strong, supportive network of primary care leaders.

This Level 7 accredited GP practice manager course is designed to help GPs and staff at the partnership level gain a better understanding of managing multidisciplinary teams and improving their personal leadership approach.

Please note that some of the materials and objectives may be subject to change based on the cohort's responses to pre-program questionnaires and discussions and activities during the program.
