The Higher Education Leadership Program is designed for current and future senior leaders in the education sector. It provides an opportunity for participants to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to drive effective improvement within their organizations.
There are increasing demands and expectations on school leaders, particularly due to the growth of academies and trusts, which have brought greater accountability and a focus on raising standards and expanding the social goals of schooling as outlined in the Education White Paper (DfE, 2016).
This course addresses current issues in national education and educational leadership and challenges participants to think critically about how to meet the needs of policy, students, and staff. It explores strategic leadership approaches and practices and how to lead teams effectively.
Participants will learn how to initiate and drive change at the individual, group, and organizational level and will be taught how to lead change, develop the capacity for change through coaching and mentoring, and practice reflective ethical leadership.
The Higher Education Leadership Program provides professionals with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in a supportive environment that maximizes learning and leadership experience through a variety of learning activities and collaborative opportunities with peers.
Please note that some of the materials and objectives may be subject to change based on the cohort's responses to pre-program questionnaires and discussions and activities during the program.
This course is delivered by InProfessional Development, our executive training delivery partner.
