Joyce Liddle is Professor of Public Leadership and Enterprise, and Co-Director of INE (Insights-NE-www.insightsnortheast.co.uk). Leads public policy and management research, with Professor John Shutt, at Newcastle BS, Northumbria. Previously Professor of Public Leadership and Management at IMPGT, Aix-Marseille Université, France. A graduate of the University of Durham, Doctorate from the University of Warwick, previous senior academic roles at Nottingham Business School, NTU, University of Nottingham, University of Durham, Sunderland and Teesside Business Schools. Previous Hon Chair of the UK Joint University Council (Public Administration), Fellow, UK Academy of Social Sciences, Fellow, Regional Studies Association, & Fellow, Joint University Council. Holds (or has held) Visiting Professorships at the Universities of Eastern Finland, Tor Vergata, Rome, Paul Cezanne, France, Northumbria, Edge Hill & Glasgow Caledonian. Published over 200 articles, 30 book chapters and 15 books; co-edits an Annual Book series on Critical Perspectives on International Public Management, chairs the Editorial Advisory Board, International Journal of Public Sector Management (was Editor in Chief and Book Review Editor for 14 years), consulting editor or EAB member on 6 international journals.
