Lee Marks is the former CEO of Break the Silence UK and is considered one of only a few specialists on the subject of male victims of domestic abuse. He shares a unique a mix of personal and professional knowledge to enable understanding of the difficulties Male victims face.
Lee was a finalist in the category of Activist of the Year 2020 at the National Men and Boys Awards for his book Break the Silence - A Support Guide for Male Victims of Domestic Abuse. This book is a first of its kind to be published by a publishing house in the UK and is available globally.
Lee gained a Masters Degree in Understanding Domestic and Sexual Violence in 2023, with his dissertation 'Police - help or hindrance?' focusing on the experience of male victims reporting and the lasting impact this had on them. He has spoken on his research on multiple platforms and conferences, including a guest spot with his colleagues on Sky TV.
