Steph Kleynhans has worked in the policy team at Shelter for three years and predominantly focuses on welfare and homelessness prevention. This includes work on the benefit cap, local housing allowance, discretionary housing payments but also on areas such as women’s homelessness, No DSS discrimination and those affected by No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). Before working at Shelter, Steph worked on European Higher Education policy at Universities UK International focusing on the UK’s exit from the EU and how that would impact universities, students and their research opportunities.
