Steve is Chair of the Council for Work and Health and Chairs NHSE’s Growing Occupational Health & Wellbeing Together Steering Group. HE sits on NHSE’s Expert Advisory Group on staff health & wellbeing. He Chaired the Faculty of Occupational Medicine’s Ethics Committee and was Chief Examiner to the Diploma in Occupational medicine for 19.5 years. In 2009 he led a review commissioned by the Health Secretary, highlighting the role staff health and wellbeing plays in NHS patient outcomes, efficiency and performance against Regulatory targets. The Queen presented Steve with a CBE in 2013, for services to occupational health.
