Manchester City Council

Councillor White was elected to the Council in May 2018, representing Old Moat ward in south Manchester. He was a member of the planning committee, and neighbourhoods and environment committee of the City Council between 2018-2021.  He was subsequently re-elected in May 2021 and joined the Executive of the Council in May this year, with the portfolio areas of Housing and Employment.  

He was educated at the University of Manchester from 1995-2001 and gained a BA (Hons) degree and BArch diploma in Architecture, before working as an architect and in the charity sector before he became a local councillor. 

He is a trustee with a number of charities in Manchester and is a board member with Southway Housing Trust too. 

He is married with 3 young children, and lives in Old Moat in Manchester.
