Online Event 9 February 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Andrew Beeput is the CEO of The Bond Board, a homelessness charity based in Greater Manchester that specialises in using the private rented sector to help tackle rough sleeping and other forms of homelessness.
This includes an ethical letting agency, bond guarantees, as well as bringing empty properties back into use and providing ongoing support to help people successfully maintain their tenancies. The organisation is also a partner in delivering the Greater Manchester Housing First pilot. Andrew starting out as a project worker in night shelter in London, he has now worked in the homelessness sector for over thirty years across London and the northwest of England, including a spell as a Board member of Great Places Housing Association.
He has supported academic research at the Bond Board in partnership with Edge Hill University in Liverpool, exploring ideas of sustainable livelihoods and recently co-authored a chapter in the forthcoming book Understanding Health and Social Care Research: Methods in Context (Routledge).
