Edith England is a critical social policy scholar. Currently a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy, and Programme Director for the Housing and Health and Social Care programmes at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Edith’s research focuses on two main strands: homelessness (especially among women and LGBTQ+ people), and the wellbeing of workers in the third sector. Edith is currently working on two projects - one looking emotional wellbeing among those working in the domestic abuse sector, and another investigating experiences of housing and homelessness among LGBTQ+ people across the UK. Edith has published widely and has received several honours for her work, including the Valerie Karn Early Career Award 2021 and the Aubrey Jones Award 2021.
