Originally from Sweden and educated in Scotland, Sophie has spent her career in prison and probation in a range of operational and strategic roles. Sophie’s work has largely focused on the translation of policy into successful front-line practice.

She is currently the Head of Digital Prison Services where her focus is to develop and deliver a digital strategy which connects our data and delivers an ecosystem of flexible digital services that meet user needs and remove our dependence on legacy systems. Between 2016 and 2020 Sophie took a transformational project from original idea, securing an additional £80M investment through to implementation of ‘key work’ across prisons and probation in England and Wales.

Sophie lives in Devon where she keeps bees and is currently trying to teach her oldest son to drive.
