Mike Hill is the Director of the Police & Public Protection Technology (PPPT) organisation within the Home Office DDaT function, having joined in January 2020. PPPT are tasked with sustaining and developing national scale data capabilities for the law enforcement and wider public protection organisations; incorporating over 700 personnel responsible for systems such as the Police National Computer (PNC) and Police National Database (PND). Largescale transformation programmes include National Law Enforcement Data programme (NLEDP) and National ANPR Service (NAS). Mike is also the SRO for the NLEDP & NAS programmes and is a member of the Police Digital Service board.
Mike’s recent career history includes General Management & Account Management roles within the private sector, prior to that had been leading projects and programmes for over 25 years across the public & private sectors. During his Armed Forces career he was involved in multiple operational projects and on leaving in 2000 he has delivered largescale programmes for the likes of Vodafone, Cisco, HP & BAE Systems.
