Andrew Curthoys is an Urban and Regional Planner with over 35 years’ experience in planning for urban communities, infrastructure projects and public policy delivery.  Andrew has held senior roles in the Queensland Government in both economic and social portfolios. Andrew has delivered complex policy and complex projects in a highly charged political environment of constant change. Since 2016 Andrew has led the development of digital enablement policy in the Queensland Government and has become recognised as a ‘thought leader’ in digital enablement, digital policy development and digital application particularly for asset delivery, management and operations. Andrew was appointed to the role of Digital Relationship Manager at the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority in March 2021.  This role was established to ensure the integration of the digital elements and the data that sits behind that, with the ultimate asset owning agencies. In April 2022, Andrew was appointed to the role of Digital Delivery Manager overseeing the digital elements of the data driven environment that the Delivery Authority operates in and all the implementation issues and opportunities. Andrew has been a leading advocate of Building Information Modelling and Strategic Asset Management Planning policy at the Australian level since 2016. Andrew has been the Chair of the Australasian BIM Advisory Board since June 2019 and is looking forward to the digital enablement opportunities that the Brisbane Olympics 2032 will deliver. Andrew studied a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of New England in Armidale, has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew is a Registered Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia.
