David struggled to read as a child, but later came to love reading. He became aware of how many people have reading frustrations when he helped found the Shannon Reading Scheme in our prison system. He also saw the huge impact on the prison inmates when they learned to read as adults. As a result, he has spent the past 25 years in Oxford researching the potential barriers to reading and how to avoid them. He is the author of The 9 Main Causes of Reading Difficulty and founder of All Aboard Learning.
