Tanyel Salih is a Specialist SEND Advisory Teacher and Senior Leader for a SEND Advisory & Training Service (SENDATS). She is passionate about supporting & collaborating with teachers and leaders, to build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to meet the diverse needs of learners in today's classrooms, while championing pupil voice and creating inclusive environments where every child can access the curriculum and thrive.

Drawing on extensive experience working alongside schools, Tanyel's work focuses on making inclusive teaching practical, sustainable and embedded within whole-class and school practice rather than an additional or separate approach. Through one-to-one coaching, whole-school professional development and strategic work with senior leaders, she helps schools develop evidence-informed approaches that benefit all learners.

Tanyel is adept at sharing practical, tried-and-tested strategies to support learners' language development, comprehension, reading and writing skills, whilst increasing participation through inclusive classroom practice. Her session will explore evidence-informed approaches that promote communication, understanding and literacy across the curriculum, alongside the effective use of visual supports, including Widgit Symbols, to enhance understanding, communication and curriculum access for learners.
