Carolyn Botfield is Director of System Improvement & Infrastructure at NHS North East London Integrated Care Board. She leads the development and delivery of the system’s strategic capital programme, working with NHS organisations, local authorities and national partners to ensure infrastructure investment supports high-quality, sustainable healthcare services.

With over 20 years’ experience across the public and private sector, Carolyn has extensive expertise in capital planning, estates and infrastructure, programme delivery, and system transformation. She is passionate about using investment in health infrastructure to improve patient care, reduce health inequalities, and create resilient services for the rapidly growing population of north east London.
