David, a design engineer with over 30 years of experience, is the founder and CEO of Cubbie. A few years ago, he was approached by a local school to design a new sensory room. Around the same time, his daughter was diagnosed with autism. This experience taught him a great deal about Sensory Processing Disorder and its impact on the daily lives of neurodivergent individuals. Designing a sensory solution for the school gave David a renewed sense of purpose: to create solutions that help individuals self-regulate and feel safe, included, and supported. Cubbie began in response to the needs of one school and has since evolved into a lifelong mission to create inclusive environments for everyone.
