I am a teacher first and foremost and I still love making a difference by helping children and young people. As Director of External Partnerships for the Trust, I lead the Ladywood Outreach Service who provided support and assessment for a wide range of PLASC needs in Bolton and beyond. We have many diagnostic partnerships in multi-disciplinary teams including autism diagnosis, Irlen diagnosis, ADHD diagnosis, dyslexia diagnosis. We are working towards becoming a Trauma Informed Service supporting the most vulnerable CYP and we understand how important it is supporting mental health to ensure positive life outcomes.
Our aim is to treat every child and family in our Woodbridge Way, “Inspiring successful futures for all”. I am a fellow of Manchester Metropolitan University, as we also deliver CPD for all staff in schools and settings and other professionals within the service and beyond. The Outreach team and I also support parent and carers of neuro-diverse children and young people via training, therapies and working in the home.
